About

I am a husband, a father and kind of a douche.  Well, not really, but I have one of these senses of humor that sometimes crosses the line.  Whatever.  I love my family.  My wife is overtly beautiful.  She really has no business being with me.  She needs a better looking more successful version of me.  My kids are the bomb.  These kids crack me up.  Seriously.  My little boy Phoenix (who I call Bear) is hysterical with his faces and inability to feel any pain, and my daughter Sage is as beautiful as her mother with just as much personality.  These people are my life, and my love.

The Lame Sauce is in reference to my wife. She has these little statements that get on my nerves, and lame sauce is one of them. When I do something that she doesn’t like, she will proclaim ‘lame sauce!’ It’s a metaphor of my life.

I have a few statements to make to clear things up here.  I’m not a stay at home dad.  I’m an unemployed father and husband. Ok, this is only kind of true. I was laid off about 5 months ago as a full time graphic designer.  Before that I had a design studios that worked with all manner of businesses in print and web work. I’ve worked with large corporations and small businesses.  Since being laid off I have been keeping things afloat with freelance work as well as my new start up.  My wife, Megan, and I started Modern Bird Studios.  This little venture uses my creative abilities (I went to school for fine arts with a concentration in painting as well as graphic design) and Megan’s marketing genius in what we hope will be a successful business to put food on our table.

I digress.  I have this blog because I want to keep track of things that happen as they happen in my life.  Fatherhood is everything I hoped for and much more.  I can’t stand how stinky my daughter’s poots are, or how much my son drips from every hole on his head, but I accept it as being part of the whole package.  This blog is my perspective on my little life, the things I love, and how friggin’ funny things are.
